Research shows that Churches play a significant role in building relationships, social networks & community connections, all of which are often in short supply in modern lives.

The opportunity for the Woodend Methodist Church to again be the social glue to provide for its growing community was all the motivation needed for the parish to rebuild their humble, yet beautifully detailed, brick building.

Descendants of the original congregation were keen to retain their ancestral links and to continue the Methodist philosophy of “practical divinity” with active worship and comfortable socialising.
